I was lucky enough to find this on an old disk, Payton had a great laugh as a toddler.

Macy's most recent installation

Macy continues to experiment with mixed media. This time she drew flowers on paper, taped on some pictures of flowers she cut out from various sources, and topped each creation off with a real flower cut from the garden. Pretty cool I thought. She also augmented with additional lone flowers on the walls throughout the house.

What in the ... ???

Cousin Terry gave a laser pointer to Macy and, well, she and Payton found a fun and creative way to entertain themselves, the dogs, us and hopefully you.

Payton had his best meet of the season as well, check his times. He was accidentally placed into the third heat for freestyle which in the past has meant a 5th or 6th place, but he stepped up, swam his personal best and got second. A similar situation in backstroke had the same result.

More from the swim meet

Monday was the final swim meet of the season and Macy was quite determined that she would win a blue ribbon, having not done so all year. She powered through both her individual freestyle and backstroke for covincing victories.

Macy dominates

Here's Macy swimming in her freestyle relay. Her team was fourth and she got first in both her individual events, but I'm posting this one first because it's the best video. Payton also snared second place in both his individual events, I'll upload videos of those as well.

Swim Meet

Macy and Payton had their 5th swim meet on Monday and Macy had her best meet of the season earning her first second place ribbon for the freestyle relay. She was very excited. She is sitting with Haley, her favorite coach on the team and a loacl high school student.

Astros for the Fourth

The family plus Ed had a great time at a Houston Astros game yesterday. It was a good choice for our holiday diversion because we endured yet another dreary day of rain, I think that's about 27 days in a row now. Fortunately the stadium has a retractable roof so the game was on. Unfortunately the Astros got creamed, but was still enjoyed the game. We forgot to bring a camera so here's a completely unrelated and random shot from my recent trip to London:
